Eye on the Prize...

This year I am trying to add more opportunities for Gifted and Talented students in my classroom. I am trying to give as many competitions and challenges as I can to all my students. For some of the contest I have offered them on my website, and then they can enter them on their own. Other contests I have had as an 'after the project' project. You know that short time when some students are done and others are not. I have collected for some of the contest and sent them in as a school. Here is one form Triarco Art. Some of these turned out kind of fun! These works well for a sub plan too.

  1. Nic, I tried to leave this comment a couple of days ago but it didn't show up. Let's try again... You probably think I stopped reading you, since I haven't left a comment in so long, but that 's not the case. Here's why I haven't commented: I've been having trouble with your blog. Is it just me or do others have the same problem? Your blog jumps all around when I click on it, and won't let me scroll, and basically gets stuck. Then it jumps around again. When I click on the comment button, it gets stuck again, or jumps around some more. Eventually I can usually get it OK, but it takes patience for someone used to moving quickly around on the internet. I'm not having this problem on other blogs, sadly just on yours. Let me know if you have a clue why!

Oh, I hope the comment shows up this time, or I'll have to use email or leave you a message on MY blog!

  2. Thanks for sending this contest link our way. I will offer it to my kids as well. When do you want to do those artist trading cards? Are you still interested? soonish?

  3. Hi again - this time it took a minute before it would scroll, but at least it didn't jump around. Once it started scrolling it acted OK. Thanks for whatever you did!

  6. Gave them to the kids today and they all got to choose their own and write about it. They put them in their art journals and most finished their cards. . .won't be too much longer!

I wanted to ask you how you used that worksheet (compare and contrast) with them.
