Shading a Bow, a set on Flickr.

Now that I am officially addicted to Pinterest, I have been inspired by many lessons.  This was one that I tried for the end of the quarter.  The first image is off from Artsonia.com, specifically Connie Baalman, from Immaculate Conception School in Old Montroe, Missouri.  Her project was done in oil pastel.  I had just finished a lesson with oil pastels and shading so I asked my students to transfer their shading skills to colored pencil.  It was a fun 'wrap up' lesson.

  4. These are fantastic- did the students look at real bows or photos of bows for reference?

  5. A great project! Thanks for sharing...got me thinking also of Nikon Small Word photos as these also look like renderings of pollens, spores, etc under a microscope. http://www.nikonsmallworld.com/gallery/year/2011/
