White board frame

How great is this?  There was no way around this big ugly fuse box on the wall so the questions was, how do we cover it up.  We came up with this solution.  I made the frame (power tools and all:)) and painted it to match the ceiling.  My husband made the amazing and simple hanging system.  My kids are in love with their new whiteboard.  Here's how we did it...

This is the hanging system we came up with.  As you can see these are anchored into the studs of the wall.  This will assure it to not pull out of the wall when the frame is hung on.

On the back of the white board my husband built a frame.  I hope you can see that he added a slender board within the frame that allows it to catch on the hangers I showed above.

You will need one handy man to place the fram on the wall... No... really the frame is really light.  I can take it off and on no problem.

As you can see the board is floating a bit off the wall due to our design.

As soon as it was up we bought the white board markers with the biggest variety of colors.  It was so much fun to watch the kids draw and create on their new board!

  1. Love how you can take it off easily to get to the fuse box. Really adorable - and your hubs is cute too!
