Bringing Life into Your Classroom

I wanted to do something different for my classroom this year to identify the color tables.  I thought it might be fun to bring a little life into class with some plants. I research succulent pants but decided I didn't want anything on my tables taking up work space. That is when I learned about air plants. I'm really hoping that these will be successful.

I was able to purchase these plants on Amazon and have them in my hands in two days (I have Amazon Prime). I took them out and soaked them as recommended, and they were in their displays by the end of the day.  I love, love, love the interesting shapes and types of plants that I received. Click here for the Amazon link I used for my air plants.

I then found these ADORABLE and modern air plant terrariums.  These were a splurge for me, but I thought they were so perfect, so I made the purchase. Again, Amazon was my friend for this purchase. Here's the link

In order to identify the colors of tables, I used spray paint on the metal terrariums.  Each geometric planter has a unique and interesting plant in them.  From what I learned, I spray or submerge the plants every one to two weeks.  The plants gather moisture from the air. That is my kind of maintenance.  I also read that these plant blossom sometimes... I can't wait!

  1. Those are so cool! What a unique idea. I might have to get some for my studio.
