I wanted my seventh grade students to embrace art this quarter and one way I thought I would do that is by letting them choose their subject. Every project they did this quarter had to do with their subject. I heard from many students that this was their favorite part of the quarter. The first lesson I asked them to do is illustrate their subject in a artful word. These projects were challenging for students. Each letter had to represent the subject as well.
