I CHALLENGED my 7th grade with the difficult task of tessellating a face in profile. I have some very talented artist this quarter who were up for the challenge. I had them working on black paper. On day one we practiced the features of the face with white pencil on black paper. Then we filled in the whole face with value using a white pencil on day two. By day three we added colors with colored pencil. They look good hanging up as a group but I think I would not use black paper for this project again. It made it a little dark on the wall.
