Cutting Geometric Shapes

This is just a quick introduction of how to cut geometric shapes for young artist.  We are preparing to make Shape Robots.  I like this part of the lesson because learning not only how to cut, but where to cut has to be taught to young learners.  I also like the relationship of shapes to one another.  Students feel confident in making shapes after this lesson and they don't feel as if they have to draw the shape first in order to be successful.

  1. Perfect timing. What grade do you teach this to? Kindergarten too young? Can't wait to see your robot pictures

  2. Did you ever make your robots? I would love to know how you approached the whole project.
