Spam via blogs?

I think I was just spamed on my blog… I have my blog set up where I ask all comments to come to my email for monitoring. This was one that I got this morning. I took a screen shot that you see to the left of the page. I'm not sure what would happen if I publish it. I have been spamed via email and even hacked a couple of times but I have never see anything like this via blog.

Anyone know about this method of spam? Please give me insight if you do. Thanks!

  1. I say it' spam, don't do anything it asks and I would not publish it either!

  2. That's totally spam! For a week or so, I turned off the feature that required you to be a signed in member and using the caption thingy, I got about 2 or 3 spam comments a day. It was ridiculous so I turned back on the feature that doesn't allow for anonymous comments. Too bad, because it makes it harder for other people to comment.

  3. Before I had a word verification on my blog, I got a lot of spam on my blog, about 100 comments in just a couple of minutes. It wasn't this detailed. It sounds like she is just trying to get people to click on her ads, since she doesn't have a direct link to her site. Not that I would go there!

  5. forgot to write in my prior comment - I'd definitely add word-verification for comments. Most blogs seem to use it, but I've noticed you don't.
