This is an oldy but goody! I did this with my 5th graders several years ago after reading the book Henri, Egg Artiste. Please see my past post for a few more details (click here). I found this to be a GREAT project for kids in upper elementary, and I would even do this with as late as 7th grade students. Try it... I dare you to read a 'story' to your middle schoolers. You will be able to hear a pin drop.
